Workin On It Wednesday #18 | {It’s baaaack!}

WOW.

I needed a break from ‘regular’ posting and I think I got it lol

I really didn’t mean to not have Workin’ On It Wednesday Linky parties be silent for

Sorry y’all!

But I’m back!

So since it’s my first day back I wanted to show you a project that has lived in my head for a long time before it came out:

DIY Faux Ceramic Berry Baskets

I’ve seen these absolutely gorgeous ceramic Berry boxes for anywhere from $6-$30+

Now $6 is not much but factor in shipping and $6 EACH? I’d spend over $25 with shipping for just 3.

So I created my own for FREE. woot! Free is better than even $6.95!

All I did was save my generic grocery store berry baskets that my blueberries & strawberries come in.

I peeled off all labels & cut off the tops (they were ‘hinged’ on)

Then I took them outside and sprayed just the inside of the baskets.

This keeps the outside shiny & smooth (like ceramic). I will be giving these a quick spray with gloss spray to get more of a shiny look but for now these work!

I totally love them & while I do not suggest using them to actually store food they look ahhh-mazing on my “All American Mantle” (I’ll be blogging about some other elements on the mantle soon!)

you could even use different color spray paint to get a bright red or cool blue to match your decor!
