First off, let me introduce myself. My name is Tara and I blog over at Mommy Head Adventures. MHA is my little space where I talk about everything from reviews and giveaways to my family, specifically my two little cherries, Bear and Lion. Both of my littles are special needs, so there is always a celebration of some sort dealing with a new milestone accomplished. We like to party in my family ![]()

I am so honored to be a part of this series here at Creative Kristi. I pride myself in the fact that I am the one the got Kristi started in the blog designing business. Seriously, if you are looking for a blog designer, look no further. She is the best.

Today, I want to share with you how to set up for your blog posts to automatically be posted to your Facebook wall and to your Twitter. It is a fairly simple set up and will reap many results in stats for your blog. I wish I would have known about how this works when I first started blogging since it would have saved me all that time going to link shorteners and have to copy and paste everything into the status update boxes.
There are three services that I know can help you in your endeavor: two to post on both Twitter and Facebook and one just for twitter.
- First off, there is Networked Blogs. This service will post on both Twitter and Facebook for you, and it is the most widely used that I have seen. It works through Facebook, which makes it rather user friendly. To set it up, you need to go to the Networked Blogs website and click on the “add your blog” link. This will take you to the Networked Blogs News Feed page where you will click on the “register a blog” button. After you click on the “register a blog” button, you will just need to fill in your blogs information and click next. Upon finishing the important information fill in, you will need to syndicate your blog to Networked Blogs. In order to do this, you will have to prove you are the author of the blog, which is as simple as adding the Networked Blogs widget to your blog (HTML code box on Blogger, Widget box on WordPress). When you prove you are the author, Networked Blogs will automatically post all your new posts to whatever pages you want it posted to (i.e. Twitter page, Facebook Fan Page, Facebook profile, etc.).
- Another service you can use is Twitter Feed. This service will send your newest posts to both Twitter and Facebook as well. I like that this service also gives a little excerpt of the post as well, which I know catchs my eye when I read others posts. After going to the Twitter Feed site, click on “register now”. You will need to fill in a little information to set it up, like email, password and word verification. The next part is adding your rss feed link. After you have put in your rss feed link, you can configure how often you want it to post, but I honestly didn’t mess with this. The last step is choosing which services you want it to update and then you are done. Pretty easy!
- The last service I want to share with you is Feedburner. If you are using Feedburner for your rss and email, which most people are, it is fairly simple to get Feedburner to work for you and tweet out your posts. Under the “publicize” tab, you will need to click on “socialize” on the left margin. Add your Twitter account and activate. The easiest of all!
So, I hope that this information helps you to more effectively and easily share with the social media world all that you have going on at your wonderful blogs! I know it was a big help for me.

And I will finish up this post today with a great blog I would love for you all to know about: Mommy Moment!
Jodi and her other contributors offer a wealth of great information from blogger tutorials to giveaways to parenting tips. I have the pleasure of getting to know Jodi through Twitter these past few months and she is ALWAYS willing to lend a helping hand. She retweets and also lets you know about great new things going on in the social media world. She has also recently began a movement on Twitter under the hashtag #missionbeautiful where she is encouraging women to realize that they are beautiful, no matter what the world says!
You can find her blog, Mommy Moment, on Facebook and Twitter as well as many other great social media places. Follow her and she always follows back if you talk to her. And who wouldn’t? She is amazing!
First of all-wasn’t that info so helpful?! Thanks Tara! I seriously love Tara because she is a sweet person with a heart of gold and she was my first official blog ‘design’ back in February. She took a chance on me and (I hope) she still loves her design-Thanks for believing in me Tara- even with no previous experience with me except via Twitter!
