Today I’m taking you on a tiny tour of my very simple Thanksgiving Decorations.
Simple Thanksgiving Decor
I don’t normally decorate for Thanksgiving but after my $15 Halloween Mantle I noticed my fresh pumpkins were still pretty good so I wanted to see if I could s-t-r-e-t-c-h my money to do a fall/thanksgiving mantle. I actually spent
on all my simple Thanksgiving decor this year.
All the pumpkins I already had from the Halloween mantle and the pinecones (and the spruce cones–the small kind that make up the garland) and branches were free. The only thing I spent money on were the two small grapevine cornucopias. They were $1 each in the Target one spot section. They also would be good as a place card setting.
The spruce cone garland is made by stringing up twine then hot gluing spruce cones to the twine in even intervals.
We also hung up the kid’s gel window clings in the playroom (not so ‘chic’ but I don’t care they love them)
Then we took my 3-D leaves (free download and video on how to make them available) and stuck them on some canvas’ and put them on the kitchen wall as art
and last but not least:
I don’t host Thanksgiving at my house so I don’t do a ‘tablescape’ (what a silly word that is haha) but I wanted something sort of festive so I put the remaining pinecones and sprucecones in my collection of vintage atlas and mason jars. I think it looks pretty good.
