Playroom Makeover | {Under $50!}

Hi! Today I wanted to share with you my playroom makeover that I did for Little Man’s 2nd birthday (he’s going to be FOUR this summer-yikes! Where does the time go???). I realized I never shared it with you & it was actually a super quick & easy project that we are still LOVING to this day.

Here is how the playroom looks today:

And here is how it started out looking:

After sanding, one gallon of white paint, one quart of magnetic paint & one quart of chalkboard paint plus a ton of elbow grease……

Don't be fooled-this is immediately after the makeover-before I let kids in, it never looks this way anymore lol

This is getting closer to what it looks like today

This is what it looks like after a day where I am working on a project & Little Man has free reign ;) lol

....and this is how it looks just 5 minutes ago. A happy medium of mess & organized

Here are some links to smaller projects I’ve completed in the playroom:

Play kitchen from nightstand

Foldable fabric bins

Found free storage

So can you tell me what one room gives you the most ‘bang for your buck’? Because I’m really curious to know!!

Have a happy day,

Cute room. It’s amazing what paint can accomplish.

Isn’t it amazing? This is a tiny room that the front door opens into that I’m assuming was supposed to be a sunroom but we were using it as an office. It’s right off the living & dining room so it’s perfect for this use! Thanks for commenting!

Oh how inspiring!!! We currently don’t have a playroom, just a small corner in the living room that has some toys in it. At this point, we don’t even have a bedroom for baby number 2!!!! We’ve been talking about future renovating, and playroom is most definitely in the plans! Looks amazing, Kristi!

Suz, That’s what we had before we transformed this room (it’s super tiny-don’t let the pictures fool you lol) just a corner of the living room. I’m concerned about all the ‘too small’ for baby items that are in here though…Miss E is close to crawling & I don’t know how to keep them out of her reach but still in reach of Little Man….

Cute! Love the chalkboard and the “realistic” view. I love happy rooms. Reid is crawling & cruising and he can wreak havoc on our playroom in a matter of minutes. He pulls everything off of the bookshelves. I did have to move all small parts & pieces to Lacey’s room. :)

The power of paint is amazing…well, and the elbow grease adds a little pizazz too! The white brightens up the whole room and I love that chalkboard.

This is so cute! What a great job! Also, I love that you included a “real” photo from your little boy playing in the playroom. I found you from the blog hop!

      Sarah,
I can’t not include a real photo-it needs to be shown LOL real-life happens in my house (I’m assuming in your house too?) and I can’t stand when people don’t include those photos LOL makes me wonder what’s behind where the picture was taken haha. Thanks so much for your comment and for stopping by!
