Hi! It’s Lindsey again from FromSugarWithStyle
One of my best friends little boys was having his 2nd birthday and I had the joy of making him his cake!
I wanted it to be very colorful and eye catching (as I do with everything I bake!) so here is what I did!
I started out by frosting a 2 layer chocolate cake with blue buttercream.

I then made more buttercream, separated it into 4 equal parts and colored them all a different bold color. Then filled 4 pastry bags-one for each color.
Using a Wilton #12 tip (yes I had 4 of them! haha), I started alternating dots of colors around the cake starting at the bottom.

I continued this all the way up the side of the cake until I got to the top

Here is where I stopped and debated for about an half hour on whether or not I wanted to keep it like this and write “Happy Birthday Levi” on the top OR continue covering it in dots of colors all the way around…..well you know me and colors!!!…I kept going!

After it was all frosted I went around making sure all of the little pointed tips were pushed down so they would look round and not like little hershey kisses!
My friend had one happy 2 yr old!

I’m the mother of this birthday boys cake and I just want everyone to know how AMAZING it turned out! The look was so fun and animated. We celebrated at Chuckie Cheese so all the parents and kids were turning their heads so fast I could have swore a couple of them got whipblash.
The cake was moist and most of all Levi loved it! I’m so thankful to have such a considerate and talented friend who took the time to make this!
That cake looks amazing…I have never seen this done before…and not surprised that Levi (and all attendees) loved it!
*some people are soooo crafty*!
