Well with Halloween over and Thanksgiving right around the corner (and freezing temps here in Maine! brrrr) I’m ready–itching!— to get our house ‘cozied up’ for the late fall/winter.
For me that means decorating for Thanksgiving with warm colors & textures. This year I thought I’d try out some metallic other than my beloved shiny silver for Christmas as well.
Disclaimer: I’ve never ever been a fan of brass or shiny gold. Reminds me so much of the tacky 80’s that I just can’t stomach it.
I have a new love.
Champagne it’s called.
Seriously. Isn’t that Reindeer just so pretty? Want to see what she looked like before?
The Champagne color shimmers just ever so lightly and turns this plain jane $7 paper mâché reindeer into quietly sophisticated holiday decor.
This was super easy to apply with a regular brush and cleaned up easily with water. I’ve painted a few other things and can’t wait to show you!
This paint is not just for holiday decorations–it would be fabulous on end tables, thrifted picture frames, etc.
What do you think?
$7 for the reindeer and some paint….not bad for a little warmth and coziness this Holiday season!
pssst. I made this little $2 gem over and will show you the after very soon!
Have a happy day,
